Karen has brought success to her wide variety of clients over the past 10 years in consulting, through combined consumer-shopper-retailer insights and a blending of strategic analytics with innovative thinking. Karen has co-authored several articles appearing in business publications and trade press.
Karen brings a vast background, both globally and domestically, to her consulting career having worked across the pharmaceutical, financial services, and consumer packaged goods industries for over 20 years. Her prior work experience includes her role as Global Brand Development Director at Unilever Home and Personal Care where she leda major global brand relaunch. AsGlobal Deputy Director at Bayer Pharmaceutical, Karen was instrumental in leading the global Marketing team on a new drug launch, driving the development of strategic positioning and branding to appeal to both the consumer and physician audiences. As the Vice President of Marketing for L’Oreal USA, she helped to establish the Garnier business in the US through major relaunches of existing brands, line extensions, and development and launches of new products. Karen started her Consumer Marketing career at Clairol where she held various positions across the hair color, hair care, and skin care portfolios.Before returning to Graduate School for her MBA, she worked for several years at Citicorp/Citibank in Residential Real Estate.
Karen enjoys gardening and cooking, and she and her husband are avid cyclists and animal lovers!
Karen completed her MBA in Marketing and Management of Organizations at the Graduate School of Business at Columbia University, and received her BS in Marketing from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Binghamton.
